The Giberg Ahton Collection is a unique fusion of art, music and masterful Swiss craftsmanship.

In collaboration with the jewelry manufacturer Giberg, a series of 12 monumental works was created, inspired by the myth of the dragon – a symbol of courage, strength, luck and progress.

Every work of art originates from music and is made visible through structure, pigments, and movement.

In this way, sound becomes form – and art becomes an experience.

Idea of the collection

The MUTREA x GIBERG AHTON Collection was created through a special collaboration between the artist Marcel Munz and Andreas Altmann, the founder of the Swiss jewelry manufacturer Giberg.

They both share the same vision:
To create emotions through creativity.

While MUTREA transforms music into abstract art, Giberg creates precise craftsmanship in the field of jewelry design. The fusion of these two worlds has resulted in a collection that unites art, music, and craftsmanship in an extraordinary way.

The series centers on the dragon Ahton, a symbol of strength, vision and progress.

Formation process

Like every work by MUTREA, the Ahton Collection also begins with music.

For this series, a unique musical composition was developed in collaboration with the composer Stefan Nimtz, consisting of four chapters and accompanying the entire creative process.

These chapters guide you step-by-step through the creation of the works:

  • Intro and warm-up
  • Music for the structures
  • Music for colors and pigments
  • Music for the final glaze

The music sets the rhythm, while plaster, pigments and movement leave their mark on the wooden surface.

This is how art is created that is born from sound.

The artworks

The Ahton Collection comprises 12 artworks, inspired by the Chinese zodiac sign of the dragon, which is considered one of the most powerful symbols of luck and success.

Each work measures 120 x 70 x 5 cm and unfolds its effect in an intense world of color consisting of red, gold and black – colors that combine power, elegance and mysticism.

A distinctive feature of the collection is an original Giberg dragon patch made of 10 grams of pure gold, integrated into each piece. This detail combines the precision of Swiss goldsmithing with the expressive energy of MUTREA art.

Framed in elegant Okumé wood, the works gain additional depth and presence.

Collector's value

The Giberg Ahton Collection is one of the most exclusive series within the MUTREA art world.

Collectors value them because of:

  • Extremely limited edition – only 12 works worldwide
  • Real Gold – 10-gram gold patch from Giberg in every piece
  • Unique creation – every work originates from music
  • Powerful symbolism – the dragon as a symbol of strength and success
  • Collaboration between two Swiss craftsmen

This collection combines art, mythology, and craftsmanship into a series that goes far beyond a classic work of art.
