MUSIC TRANSCENDS ART
Born in 1986 in the picturesque town of Schaffhausen, Switzerland, he is an artist who grew up in an environment characterised by music and creativity. He came into contact with a variety of musical instruments at an early age, which awakened his curiosity and love of experimentation.
His musical journey has taken him to over 1000 concerts worldwide, where he has earned a permanent place in the music scene. After intensive drum studies in Paris, he reached the final of the prestigious V-Drum World Championship in Los Angeles in 2012, where he proudly received the
represented the Roland drum brand. Over the years, he has shared the stage with talented artists such as Damian Lynn, who has supported world stars like Justin Bieber, Nelly Furtado, Norah Jones, Stefanie Heinzmann and Brian Adams.
Marcel Munz's artistic streak was nurtured by his grandmother, a talented painter,
inspired and shaped him. In 2020, his creative side fully broke through when he realised the vision of
entwickelte, Musik in abstrakte Kunstwerke zu transformieren. So wurde MUTREA geboren – ein
innovative art concept that shows the connection between music and art in a unique way.
His art is created in a fascinating process in which the music flows through his body and he transfers the rhythm to the canvas with his hands. The resulting works are an expression of his innermost feelings and thoughts, a harmonious fusion of sound and colour that captivates the viewer.

Schon als Kind war die Musik mein ständiger Begleiter. Mit dem Schlagzeug fand ich schliesslich mein Instrument und entdeckte eine Leidenschaft, die mich bis heute nicht loslässt. In zahlreichen Bands und Projekten hatte ich das Glück, auf den größten Bühnen Europas zu stehen und mit herausragenden Musikern zusammenzuarbeiten. Mein Studium in Paris war prägend und hat meinen musikalischen Horizont erweitert. Heute gebe ich mein Wissen und meine Erfahrung gerne weiter und helfe meinen Schülern dabei, ihre eigene musikalische Stimme zu finden. Denn Musik ist mehr als nur das Spielen eines Instruments sie ist Ausdruck der Seele und verbindet Menschen auf ganz besondere Weise.
