MUTREA's creative process is based on a technique he developed himself, which he calls RHYTHMO RELIEF. The method is a physical translation of rhythm, time structure and musical energy into an abstract, relief-like surface. At its heart is not painting in the classical sense alone, but a process-driven way of working in which sound, movement, material and physicality are directly connected.<\/p>

Every work begins with a carefully prepared wooden panel that MUTREA builds and works himself. Even before the paint and plaster are applied, this creates a structured foundation that gives the later relief stability, depth and physical presence.<\/p>

At the same time, MUTREA develops the musical foundation of the work. He composes or produces it with his own instruments, digital tools and AI-assisted applications, or transforms existing material into an independent remix. When the music and a countdown start, the performative core of the work begins. The plaster is mixed in rhythm and then, rather than being applied statically, brought onto the surface in a physically guided, almost percussive movement. Striking, pressing and shaping with hands and tools creates a relief-like structure that develops directly out of the beat.<\/p>

As the plaster sets, MUTREA carefully removes the parts that do not adhere or do not belong to the emerging structure. Once the material has reached the right state, the colouring follows: pigment powders are applied, worked across the surface and intensified with brushes, sponges and other colour media. Glazes and sealants complete the process while preserving the reflective, material presence of the surface.<\/p>

MUTREA's creative process is characterised by the close interplay of preparation, sound, gesture, material response and finishing. His works do not arise from a pictorial idea alone, but from a time-bound performance in which music is transformed into surface.
